What data do we hold?
We collect and store the minimum information necessary for us to carry out our functions and to enable you to participate in our activities.
If you join us as a member, we keep your name and contact details on a password-protected electronic document which is only accessible by CBG Committee members. When a member of the committee steps down, their access is revoked.
If you sign up to our newsletter, we have to share your details with the list server service EmailOctopus, which is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and GDPR compliant. They do not share your email with anyone else and nor do we (including with other members). You can leave the email list at any time and we will delete your data.
If you participate in our activities, we may request your name and contact details (a phone number and/or email address) to keep you up to date with arrangements for the activities.
We keep your information until you tell us to remove it, or until the group is dissolved, whichever is earlier. You can contact us at any time to check what personal data we hold relating to you, ask for it to be amended, or ask for it to be deletedData controller / data processor

Listed below are the rights that are relevant to the information that we process.
- Right to be informed: You have the right to be informed about the collect and use of your data.
- Right to access: You have the right to access a copy of the data we hold on you.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that information is corrected if it’s inaccurate.
- Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to request that your information is removed.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: If you think we have infringed your privacy rights, you can lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
